Published 1 week, 2 days ago
Description

Jackson Pollock's 'Blue Poles' divided the nation when Gough Whitlam's government approved the acquisition for $1.3 million in 19-73. But it's become a prized possession of the National Gallery in Canberra — now valued at more than $500 million.

Now, 'Blue Poles' is hitting the road — for the first time in almost a quarter of a century — to give West Australians their first glimpse of Pollock's masterpiece.

  • GUEST: Dr Nick Mitzevich, Director of the National Gallery of Australia.
