The Adventures of Superman - "The Mystery Ship Part-6" (Old Time Radio)
Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description
Old Time Retro Radio presents The Adventures of Superman: “The Mystery Ship Part-6,” originally broadcast on the Mutual Broadcasting System on December 30, 1942. This is the penultimate chapter of the seven-part “Mystery Ship” serial, written and directed by George Lowther and starring Bud Collyer as Clark Kent/Superman and Joan Alexander as Lois Lane.
After their encounter with the derelict tanker Albatross, Clark and Lois are taken aboard a naval patrol vessel, where the ship’s log raises even more questions. On the passenger clipper back to the city, Lois becomes suspicious of a quiet traveler who claims to be noted dog breeder Alfred Kennicott—and of the remarkably obedient Great Dane at his side.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
