Michelle's husband, Luke, battled cancer early in their marriage and ultimately lost his life after years of illness. Michelle shares what it was like to walk through cancer, amputation, chronic illness, hospice, and eventually widowhood while raising their three children.

But Michelle's story doesn't end with loss.

She shares several powerful experiences that changed the way she understood her suffering—including a vision in which Jesus told her, “I chose you.” What had felt like punishment suddenly became something entirely different: a calling and a privilege.
