Description

Social media and the 'manosphere' are leaving teen boys with image concerns, and they're turning to unregulated injectable supplements to improve their appearance.

Experts have raised the alarm after more young men have been found utilising injectable peptides for muscle growth and weight loss amid growing pressure around body image.

Body Torque Personal Training founder Alex Flint says he's seen boys as young as 13 and 14 asking about peptides - so it's a factor from an early age.

"It's actually even something that's coming up for school projects - they're using it as a topic for their school projects. So it's absolutely top of mind, and I think that it's being driven by an uprising in what's going on on social media."
