Ep. 108 The Highgate Vampire: The Battle of the Vampire Hunters
Description
This week on Kraken Cans Cast, we’re heading across the pond to London and diving into the strange legend of the Highgate Vampire. What started with bizarre sightings around an old cemetery eventually turned into occult investigations, vampire hunts, alleged rituals, a massive mob storming Highgate Cemetery, and a feud between two men who both claimed they could deal with the supernatural.
We break down the strange stories, the supposed vampire, and the rivalry between David Farrant and Seán Manchester—including the infamous “magicians’ duel” that never actually happened. Was there really something lurking in Highgate, or did the legend become bigger than whatever started it?
Two men. One vampire. Decades of rivalry. Let’s crack open a cold one and head into Highgate.
