What is one thing that you do for yourself every day just to make yourself happy? To make your life more fun? (Please share!)
One of my daily non-negotiables lately is listening to one song every day that makes me feel good. The other day it was Foo Fighters' "Learning to Fly." I put it on, then went and watched the music video, and ended up down a whole rabbit hole about the band. And somewhere in that rabbit hole, this week's episode was born.
Because here's something most people don't know. Planes are off their planned course an estimated 90 percent of the flight. Not occasionally drifting. Off course almost the entire time. And they still land exactly where they meant to.
Nobody watching that flight would call the pilot a failure for drifting. So why do we do that to ourselves over one off-plan meal?
What if you could get to the point where being off track stopped meaning something is wrong with you, and started being just... normal? Where a hard day didn't require a Monday reset, a "clean" restart, or starting completely over?
In this episode I dig into where this all-or-nothing belief actually comes from, what real course correction looks like instead, and why this one skill might change a lot more in your life than just how you eat.
If you've ever had one bite of something "off plan" and decided the whole day was ruined, if you've ever quietly given up on a goal after missing it a few times, if you've ever wondered why you keep starting over instead of just continuing, this episode is for you.
