Back to EpisodesWhy Jesus Created the World From Nothing
Description
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth from nothing, and that detail matters more than it might seem. If God had used pre-existing material, the real question would just shift to who made that material. Creation ex nihilo points to a Creator who needs nothing outside Himself.
In this episode, we continue our Systematic Theology series by digging into the doctrine of creation: why Scripture points to Jesus, not just "God" in the abstract, as the one who created everything, why God created us at all when He didn't need to, and how even Adam's brief loneliness before Eve was created points back to something true about God Himself.
