The Abbott And Costello Show - "Avisit to Peter Lorres Sanitarium" (Old Time Radio, 1944)
Published 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Description
The Abbott And Costello Show presents “Avisit to Peter Lorres Sanitarium,” originally broadcast January 13, 1944. This local archival recording features Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in a classic NBC comedy broadcast sponsored by Camel Cigarettes.
After Lou catches a cold, Bud puts him through a demanding health routine before the pair visit a sanitarium run by guest star Peter Lorre. The mock-spooky setting and Lorre’s ominous presence fuel the episode’s nervous wordplay, with music led by Freddie Rich and a vocal appearance by Connie Haines.
The Abbott And Costello Show presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
