How Do We Live Well in Times of Crisis?

Season 3 Episode 34 Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description

What does it mean to live a good life when the world around us feels increasingly unstable?

In this episode of Divine Design Podcast, Veerle and I meet again after six months, and much has changed. Across the world, we are witnessing extremes: heat waves and drought, unusual weather patterns, pressure on agriculture, exhausted caregivers, healthcare systems struggling to cope, and people navigating profound changes in their personal lives.

But rather than asking only how we can fix what is breaking, our conversation moves into another question: What if this time is also asking us to change the way we live?

Veerle and I explore what it means to remain grounded, loving and deeply connected to life while the world around us becomes increasingly polarized and unpredictable. We speak about the healthcare system and the possibility of creating new approaches rooted not only in illness and treatment, but in relationship with ourselves, with one another and with the Earth.

Our conversation also moves into more mysterious territory: children coming into the world with a different sensitivity, experiences of light and healing after the death of a child, and the possibility that humanity itself is moving through a profound transition.

This became a conversation about crisis, but even more, it became a conversation about relationship. Relationship with Earth, relationship with our bodies, relationship with one another and relationship with the unseen. And relationship with the life that is trying to emerge through us.

How do we learn to live well within it?
