Arsenal are BACK in Premier League action! 🔴⚪ The new Premier League season begins tomorrow as Arsenal take on Coventry City — and in today’s video, I give my full Arsenal vs Coventry match preview, predicted XI, tactical breakdown and score prediction. On paper, Arsenal will be huge favourites, but I don’t think this is going to be the complete walkover some people are expecting. We saw Sunderland prove that teams coming up from the Championship can compete and have a really strong Premier League season, and Coventry arrive with plenty of attacking threat of their own. They had four players score 10+ goals last season, while striker Haji Wright scored nearly 20 goals. They’ve also finished pre-season in frightening form, scoring FIVE goals against Espanyol and FIVE against Monaco in their final two games. Arsenal should win this game, but underestimate Coventry at your peril. I also give my predicted Arsenal starting XI for the opening day: 🧤 David Raya in goal. ⚔️ A big decision at right-back, with serious competition for that position. 🛡️ Cristhian Mosquera, Gabriel Magalhães and Riccardo Calafiori completing the defence. ⭐ I think Myles Lewis-Skelly deserves to start in midfield, potentially alongside Declan Rice if he’s fit. 🎨 If Mikel Arteta wants to go more attacking, could we see Eberechi Eze and Martin Ødegaard together? Ødegaard has looked brilliant throughout pre-season and against Manchester City in the Community Shield. 🔥 Bukayo Saka starts from the right, with Christos Tzolis on the left after another hugely impressive performance and two assists in his last game. 🎯 And then comes another massive decision — Kai Havertz or Viktor Gyökeres to lead the line? I’m expecting Coventry to make Arsenal work for it, particularly early on, but ultimately I think the quality in this Arsenal squad will show.
