Proverbs 21 reminds us that God’s plan, God’s timing, wisdom, diligence, and obedience matter more than our striving.

Work your land.

Stop measuring your progress against somebody else’s success.
Stop getting distracted by somebody else’s assignment.
Proverbs 21 gives us a powerful blueprint for living with wisdom and purpose: listen and apply, do what is right, seek wisdom, exercise prudence, think about the future, work diligently, choose your friends wisely, speak life, tell the truth, reject ego and pride, and be generous.
Because ego, pride, and strife often show up together—and they can keep us from doing the work we were actually called to do.
You can strive all you want, but God alone brings the peace. No wisdom, insight, or plan can ultimately succeed against the Lord.
So if you're feeling tired, weary, stressed, distracted, overwhelmed, or frustrated by someone else's progress, maybe you don't need a new plan.
Maybe you need to get back to working your land.
Your assignment is your assignment.
Your timing is your timing.
Your lane is your lane.
And sometimes the greatest Inchstone isn't doing more.
It's simply getting back to the work that's yours to do.
