Carrie Hurihanganui: Auckland Airport CEO on profits dropping slightly, expectations of strong growth in summer

Auckland Airport's Chief Executive is feeling optimistic heading into 2027.
Its latest financial results saw net profits drop 20%, however revenue is up 3%, and passenger numbers are up about 1.6% on the previous year.
Carrie Hurihanganui told Mike Hosking the airport will be back to over 95% recovery in the summer peak – tantalisingly close to a full recovery.
She says they're expecting strong growth, with six million seats in and out over the peak – up 4% on last year.
Hurihanganui says destination New Zealand is still appealing to airlines.
