President Donald Trump this week issued a stern warning to any nation wanting to offer aid to Iran after announcing the launch of a U.S. sanctions operation he likened to an "economic D-Day." The new sanctions announcement comes amid a maximum pressure campaign, including the naval blockade, to get Iran to capitulate. The President also threatened to bomb Oman if the country acts as a barrier to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a major point of contention on both sides of the conflict.
