Sl: Ljubljana je poleti živahna.
En: Ljubljana is lively in the summer.

Sl: Ljudje hitijo po ulicah, sonce sije na mestne trge, in v zraku je občutek topline.
En: People rush through the streets, the sun shines on the city squares, and there's a sense of warmth in the air.

Sl: V središču mesta, sredi vsega vrveža, stoji policijska postaja.
En: In the city center, amidst all the hustle and bustle, stands a police station.

Sl: Za zidovi so plakati dogodkov in obvestila.
En: Behind its walls are event posters and notices.

Sl: Velika okna prepuščajo svetlobo, ki se igra s sencami na tleh.
En: The large windows let in light, which plays with shadows on the floor.

Sl: Mateja je danes nervozna.
En: Mateja is nervous today.

Sl: Njeno srce bije hitreje, ko stopi skozi vrata policijske postaje.
En: Her heart beats faster as she steps through the door of the police station.

Sl: Njeno kolo je izginilo.
En: Her bicycle has disappeared.

Sl: Ljubila ga je, skoraj kot prijatelja.
En: She loved it almost like a friend.

Sl: "Kamnito ti," si reče, "kako si mi to lahko naredilo?
En: "Kamnito ti," she says to herself, "how could you do this to me?"

Sl: V rokah drži njeno kolo.
En: In his hands, he holds her bicycle.

Sl: Mateja ga prepozna takoj.
En: Mateja recognizes it immediately.

Sl: Njene oči se od jeze prelevijo v presenečenje.
En: Her eyes shift from anger to surprise.

Sl: "Bojan!
En: "Bojan!"

Sl: " vzklikne, "kaj si delal?
En: she exclaims, "what were you doing?"

Sl: "Bojan, zmeden, a iskren, ji ponudi kolo nazaj.
En: Bojan, confused but sincere, offers her the bicycle back.

Sl: "Oprosti," reče, "resnično oprosti.
En: "I'm sorry," he says, "really sorry.

En: Her irritation slowly turns into laughter.

Sl: "Ah, Bojan," se zasmeje, "vedno si bil tak.
En: "Oh, Bojan," she laughs, "you've always been like that.
