Prescott Valley Police Encourage Community Crime Prevention
Description
Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) recognizes National Crime Prevention Month every October and encourages community members to take advantage of our Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) program. CPTED provides free safety assessments of homes and businesses conducted by PVPD Community Services Specialists. During these assessments, Specialists visually review the property and offer recommendations designed to reduce crime and strengthen awareness.
Throughout October, PVPD will host several crime prevention classes and invites community groups to schedule presentations with the Police Community Services unit. October also offers an ideal opportunity to start a block watch group and connect with neighbors ahead of the holiday season. Working together helps create a safer, more secure community for everyone.
For more information or to schedule an event, visit prescottvalley-az.gov/crimeprevention or email PDCPO@prescottvalley-az.gov.
