In this episode of Super SUS, we cover the case of Trent DiGiuro, a University of Kentucky football player who was shot and killed on his own porch in 1994 while celebrating his upcoming 21st birthday with friends. A single shot struck him in the head just before 3:00 a.m. Police had almost nothing to go on, and despite heavy publicity and a reward, the case went cold for six years.

Then someone came forward with information that finally cracked it open. What followed was a conviction, an overturned verdict, and a plea deal that let the man responsible walk free years later. Trent's family has been fighting for real accountability ever since.
