The Huddle: What did we make of the Mount Maunganui landslide review?

Published 1 week, 1 day ago
Description

Tonight on The Huddle, Jordan Williams from the Taxpayers' Union and Jack Tame from ZB's Saturday Mornings and Q&A joined in on a discussion about the following issues of the day - and more!

A review has identified the systemic failings in relation to the Mount Maunganui landslide, and some recommendations have been made for Tauranga City Council. Do people need to lose their jobs over this? Are we surprised officials knew the risks?

Education Minister Erica Stanford has said more walls are in the works for open-plan classrooms? Do we think this is long overdue?

Labour has promised they won't introduce new taxes, besides capital gains, despite Te Pāti Māori, the Greens and Opportunity indicating they want to introduce new taxes. Do we really see Labour and Hipkins sticking to their guns on this?
