This month on The Wasteland Spotlight, host Shane Conto (The Wasteland Reviewer) is joined by SPDM Crew member and SiftPop contributor Patrice Downing to set sail with the theme "Boats!" — four films spanning decades of nautical comedy, adventure, and seafaring chaos:

🎬 Films Discussed:

• Operation Petticoat (1959) — starring Cary Grant & Tony Curtis — a classic naval comedy from director Blake Edwards
• Puss 'n' Boats (1966) — the Hanna-Barbera animated short featuring Tom and Jerry on the high seas
• Summer Rental (1985) — starring John Candy — the beloved 80s comedy about a family vacation gone hilariously wrong
• Captain Ron (1992) — starring Kurt Russell & Martin Short — the ultimate sailing adventure comedy of the early 90s

The Wasteland Spotlight is a monthly themed film podcast where Shane Conto and a guest pick a theme and four films that match it — covering everything from golden age Hollywood to cult comedies across every era of cinema.
