An endometriosis advocacy group is praising New Zealand's commitment to finally easing the diagnosis burden.  

The Government's launching new criteria mid-next year, supporting GPs to make the diagnosis and treat it immediately. 

At the moment, women are waiting a decade to be diagnosed.  

World Endometriosis Society Senior Ambassador Deborah Bush told Mike Hosking advocates have been working in this space for years.  

She says this guideline will bridge the diagnosis gap and provide an opportunity to bring together our world leading programmes and services.
