The simple answer is yes after last season's injury-filled season still netted 45 wins. But the Magic have lost the benefit of the doubt. Everyone wants this team to prove themselves, especially their two stars, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner.
If the Magic start winning, the accolades and attention will come. But being in a small market, the Magic must win more to get the attention their talent may deserve.
For now, the Magic are not expected to meet expectations again. This team has a lot to prove.
