A 20-year-old man, Cori Michael Scales, died after being shot while driving in Long Beach last Friday evening near 12th Street and Lewis Avenue. His car crashed into a power pole after the shooting, and despite paramedics’ efforts, he succumbed to his injuries over the weekend.
