Sometimes we do the compassionate thing, but we do it grudgingly.
True compassion isn’t just about what we do.
It’s also about how we do it and how we make people feel when we do.
Romans 12 talks about the different gifts we have and how we should use them. It says, “the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.” — from Romans 12:8
When we care for each other, may we do it cheerfully, not grudgingly.
