Description
Prescott is no stranger to the American Quarter Horse, considered the most popular breed in the United States. Events featuring Quarter Horses were held in Prescott from the 1950s until around 1978, according to local lore. The American Quarter Horse is well known as a racehorse that excels in sprinting for ¼ mile distances or less and for its performance in rodeos, horse shows, and as a working ranch horse.
