1. Have you been justified by Christ? How you truly prayed like the Tax Collector, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner?”
2. In what ways do you find yourself like the Pharisee? The Tax Collector? In what ways are you tempted to lean on your own righteousness?

Encouragement:

Confess your self righteousness to Christ. Pray that he will remind you of his goodness and mercy. His forgiveness. Confess with your friends or family those places where you are tempted into self righteousness and ask them to hold you accountable! Thank God for the opportunity to come to Him and say, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner!”
