A Toxic Love Story

Description

In 2016, Angela Connell started getting threatening emails from someone invoking the persona of a vengeful demon from Jewish mythology. Her husband, US Marshal Ian Diaz, told cops the messages were sent by his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Hadley. Despite a restraining order, the threats continued, including a plan to trick men into attacking Angela, believing she had a rape fantasy. After things turned violent, police made an arrest. But when new details emerged, authorities took another look at the crimes and concluded all was not as it seemed.

The Netflix documentary “A Toxic Love Story” tells a twisted tale, filled with vengeance, deception, and double crosses.  It explores the complex pasts and the twisted motivations of all the central figures in the crime, and shows how these destructive relationships led to a truly shocking case.

OUR SPOILER-FREE REVIEWS OF "A TOXIC LOVE STORY" BEGIN IN THE FINAL 12 MINUTES OF THE EPISODE.
