Spotlight: Evelyn Howe| Godfather of Harlem, SXSW Win, Audition Secrets, Industry Advice & More!
Description
Today on the show, we are joined by the versatile and incredibly talented actor Evelyn Howe—and we’ve got guest host Kentrell Wright sitting in on the conversation! You’ve seen Evelyn across some of the biggest television shows and films in the industry, including Godfather of Harlem, FBI, I Care A Lot, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Law & Order, and And Just Like That...
In this exclusive interview, Evelyn opens up about her journey from the early acting days to winning an award at SXSW. She breaks down what it was like auditioning for and seeing her name in the credits for the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, sharing scenes with the legendary Forest Whitaker (including the language challenge behind that role!), and training with industry powerhouse Christine Horn.
Plus, Evelyn gives us a look into her favorite theater performances, her thoughts on action and stunt work, and invaluable advice for actors building a lasting career.
