Back to EpisodesFascinating People Of The Old Testament - Lessons Learned From Naaman
Description
Naaman was a powerful Syrian commander who suffered from leprosy—a need he could not fix with his status, wealth, or influence. When he sought healing, God used his obvious physical need to expose his deeper need: humble dependence on God. Naaman tried to buy and control his healing, but only received it when he obeyed God’s simple instruction through the prophet Elisha. The story warns us against trusting in our own strength or special status, and calls us to trust wholly in God’s grace, highlighting that God alone is the true source of help, healing, and lasting peace. Ultimately, we’re challenged to respond to Jesus in faith, repent of our pride, and adopt a “Just Jesus” posture—where our lives point only to Him.
