The Me’am Loez section examines the captive woman described in the opening verses of Ki Teitzei. Rabbi Rubenstein highlights Rashi’s interpretation that the Torah’s concessions are intended to counter human impulses, ultimately requiring the woman’s release and dignity.

The Rambam discusses the proper volume for the Amidah: one should hear one’s own words without praying audibly to others. In a congregation, praying too loudly can interfere with another person’s concentration.

The Pirkei Avot section introduces the first Mishnah and Rashi’s commentary on its three teachings: deliberate judgment, raising many students, and creating safeguards around Torah. Together, these emphasize careful justice, transmitting Torah, and preventing violations.
