In this episode of The Dugout, we speak with Lebanese anarchists about organizing and surviving through war, occupation, sectarianism, displacement, and economic crisis. We discuss what brought them to anarchism, how they understand Lebanon’s history, and why the experiences of South Lebanon and Beirut can look so different.

We talk about the realities of Israel’s attacks, the conditions facing migrant and kafala workers, and the everyday needs people are confronting as communities are displaced and homes are destroyed.

At the center of the conversation is a simple principle: abandon nobody.

What does solidarity look like when people are already overwhelmed? How do you provide relief without becoming another NGO? And how can anarchists build relationships, share skills, and meet people’s needs without taking control away from the communities they are trying to support?
