Welcome back for part two of my conversation with Author and Detective Superintendent Bob Lessemun as we travel across the pond to England and to Turks and Caicos.

A little about my guest. Robert C. ‘Bob’ Lessemun, a man who left school at sixteen and walked straight into a police career that would span more than half a century. From uniform sergeant and ultimately Detective Superintendent. He built a reputation for tackling some of Britain’s toughest cases-murders, international fraud, major drug operations-while pioneering interview and interrogation training that would influence detectives across the UK. This is the story of how a grammar-school boy from England became one of the country’s most experienced investigators leading him to Turks and Caicos investigating international drug and money laundering cases.

It was a treat chatting with Bob! I hope you enjoy part two of my interview with Bob as much as I did.

 In today’s episode we discuss:

·      Some cases that has stuck with Bob thorough the years.

·      His thoughts on the police in Brittan today.

·      How he wound up working in Turks and Caicos Islands?

·      Money laundering, human trafficking, and burial at sea.

·      His advice for police officers in the USA and or other parts of the world.

·      His advice for being an affective police leader.

·      What he misses the most or least about being in law enforcement.

·      The Plod books and his writing career.

·      Why he wrote The Young Plod: Tales from the Black Country, Plod Goes Private: Tales of a Private Investigator, and Plod Policing Paradise: Tales from the Caribbean?

All of this and more on today’s episode of the Cops and Writers podcast.

Most people call 911 on the worst day of their lives. For a street cop, that’s every shift. For twenty-five years, that was mine.

Police Stories: Street Cop to Sergeant is the unfiltered story of my years as a Milwaukee street cop. The dark calls. The dark humor. The partners who became family. And the price
