Bitaxe: Open Source Hardware! with Skot 9000
Description
You've heard of open source software. How about open source hardware? My guest today is Skot, the instigator of the Bitaxe project and who is on the board of the 256 Foundation, building out the open-source Bitcoin mining ecosystem.
Like Bitcoin itself, Bitaxe is fully open source with an onboard controller that lets you mine Bitcoin directly over Wi-Fi and is easily configured through the AxeOS dashboard. I'm mining with three of them right now in fact, and there should be a Bitaxe on every desktop, and in every home.
I met Skot in Prague and found him to be incredibly humble, and yet he has an Amazing story about the origin of Bitaxe and many continuous hardware projects and the open source community he's working with now.
