VDOT is transforming the I-64 and I-464 interchange in Chesapeake, starting August 14th with a nighttime traffic shift to a new right lane—soon to be part of a two-lane ramp. The existing left lane will close to make way for a new flyover connecting I-64 east to I-464 south and Route 168. Work is on track to finish by summer 2027, weather permitting.
