Episode Details

In 1985, 13 year old Amy McNiel was abducted at gunpoint outside her family's Texas estate, launching a tense 44 hour manhunt led by the FBI, Texas Rangers, and local deputies. As her father crisscrossed hundreds of miles delivering ransom money under the kidnappers' erratic instructions, investigators tracked the captors through a high speed pursuit and a gunfight at a rural farmhouse. Amy was rescued unharmed, and her captors were later convicted, closing one of the era's most harrowing kidnapping cases.
