Description
Send us your Mediocre 5 Star Review
This week’s episode wasn’t supposed to feel quite so timely.
As much of the country faced extremely hot, dry conditions, Tim and Ade sat down to discuss a topic that every camper should take seriously: fire safety in the outdoors.
From campfires and fire pits to stoves, BBQs and anything involving a naked flame, the conditions had created a very real risk across campsites, farmland and the countryside.
For Tim, the issue felt particularly close to home. Wildfires had broken out nearby, destroying homes and scorching large areas of farmland. It was a stark reminder that it doesn’t take much for a small flame to become a major incident.
Then, part way through the recording, mobile phones across the country suddenly sounded with a national emergency alert warning of the heightened fire risk.
What began as a camping discussion instantly became something much bigger.
This week, Tim and Ade talk about responsible camping during extreme conditions and why every camper has a role to play in helping protect the places we love.
Stay safe and happy camping.
