From old school Soca to bubblin Bouyon, SARZ BOOGIE says it’s time to throw batty in honour of Notting Hill Carnival hitting our West London streets once again! What is MADIVIN all about? « Madivin » is a Creole word that means lesbian. So, OF COURSE this show is a love letter to the gworls, the gays and the enby babes. We’ll be bringing big energy sets and exciting guests to showcase queer artists, DJs and musicians of colour, specifically those from non-western countries and their diaspora. We’re sooo hyped for this and hope you are too!❤️‍🔥 Guest bio Born and raised in East London with Congolese roots, Sarz Boogie is a multi-genre DJ inspired by the sounds of the diaspora. Drawing influence from Anglophone R&B, Congolese rumba, ndombolo and soukouss, as well as Francophone African and Caribbean sounds, her sets blend nostalgia, rhythm and energy across cultures. Specialising in R&B, Soca, Afrobeats, Bouyon and Shatta, Sarz Boogie is passionate about bridging Francophone sounds with the UK music scene, creating unforgettable experiences that celebrate Black music, culture and community.
