If you do not have rules decided in advance, you are not free; you are just up for grabs for whatever storm or mood hits you next.Here is your daily execution protocol to take back control of your life:
Write down your principles: List three lines you have decided in advance that you will never cross. For me, in business, that is integrity, honesty, and an uncompromising belief in God, peace, freedom, and family structure.
Decide within the hour: Kill one lingering decision that is holding you back today. Cut off that toxic relationship, make the business call, or stop that bad habit. Stop waiting and make the choice right now.
Debrief one failure: Look at a recent mistake, ask yourself what it actually cost you, and extract the wisdom so you can learn from it. Every failure is tuition you paid to get smarter.
Build one guardrail: Stop relying on hope and willpower. Turn that lesson into a system so you can make sure the mistake does not repeat itself.
Reflect before bed: Every night, ask yourself the ultimate question: Did I lead my life by principle, or did I lead by mood?
