After producing the best regular season in franchise history and finishing first in their, the Millers' playoff run came to an abrupt end with back-to-back 7-4 losses to the Saskatoon Berries in the WCBL East Division Final.
Rod reflects on the disappointment of playoff baseball, the incredible bond within this Miller Express team, franchise attendance records, broadcasting the games on Flo College Baseball, and the lasting impact this season had on a new generation of baseball fans in Moose Jaw.
The ending hurts, but it doesn't erase what was accomplished.
A division pennant will be raised at Ross Wells Park, a new generation of Miller Express fans was created, and the memories from a truly special summer will last long after the final out.
