Enda Brady: UK correspondent on Nigel Farage and Count Binface going head to head in the polls
Published 2 weeks ago
Description
Voters in eastern England are headed to the polls today for a byelection triggered by hard-right Reform UK leader Nigel Farage - and he's facing off against a unique rival.
The traditional parties have shunned the contest for the Clacton parliamentary seat, meaning joke candidate Count Binface count score a significant percentage of the vote, according to a Survation poll.
UK correspondent Enda Brady says many people won't turn up to vote at all, amid heatwave safety concerns.
