Wednesday, August 12th: God’s Word penetrates beneath our appearances and exposes the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. Yet we do not have to hide from God because Jesus, our sympathetic and sinless High Priest, has opened the way into His presence. Through Christ, we can approach the throne of grace confidently to receive mercy for our failures and timely grace for our weaknesses.
