The Fan Mail We Had to Read
Description
The setup: The show gets some brutally honest “fan mail” from someone who wants more music and less of the hosts’ personal lives.
The complaint: They don't care about the baby stories, pool updates, emotions or anything happening outside the music.
The response: J.R. jokes that they feel bad for the person because there are plenty of places to get nonstop music.
J.R.’s story: He explains why sharing his daughter’s recent breakthrough was meaningful to him and listeners.
Launa’s pool: She explains the family connection behind the pool project and jokes about being accused of bragging.
The irony: The anonymous texter says they’d “Google your life” if they wanted to know more—so apparently the show is famous enough to Google.
Closer: “Keep the fan mail coming”—and maybe give the anonymous critic a call since they left their phone number.
