Randy Mastro, attorney and government official who served as first deputy mayor of New York City under Mayor Eric Adams from March to December 2025, joins Sid to discuss a judge on Staten Island temporarily blocking implementation of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's new pied-à-terre tax following a lawsuit brought by a group of homeowners Mastro is representing that alleges the city bungled the rollout by including many who live full-time in their homes on a list of 900,000 people who could be subject to the tax, as well as sending letters to 17,000 others.
