Description
I found a much needed reminder from Mindset Machine (@mindsetmachine) where this was shared: “People are addicted to easy and easy is the reason their life stays hard.” In today’s world with so many distractions and things that we can choose from on how to spend our time - it is not difficult to choose easy things. I’ve done it for sure. But you know what? As I reflect and connect to this concept, I look back at all the times where I took my foot off the accelerator and just did things that were fun (watch t.v., spend time playing games, time on my phone and computer looking up nonsense, etc.), then I felt down about myself. I felt drained actually. I felt tired and worn out. Then I had no focus and energy to do things that really mattered and were important. There is the thought, if we always choose what’s easy and fun all the time, later the price to be paid is a lot worse. Our life will not be fun and it will be more difficult than it really had to be. This does not mean to never have fun. It’s a necessary part of life for sure. But not all the time. Thanks for listening.
