Published 1 day, 9 hours ago
Description
The world's oceans hit an all-time record-high average temperature of 20.96°C for the month of July, according to a report released by the EU's Copernicus Climate Change Service. This peak surpassed the previous July milestone of 20.89°C. The spike in temperature is largely driven by long-term, human-caused climate change combined with developing El Niño conditions in the tropical Pacific.
