Julie Andrews confirms retirement from film acting
Published 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Description
Dame Julie Andrews has confirmed she will not appear in The Princess Diaries 3, effectively announcing her retirement from film acting. The 90-year-old actress, who declined a role in Mary Poppins Returns a decade ago, continues to write books with her daughter Emma and remains available for voiceover work, but has chosen to end her on-screen acting career. Andrews' decision means she declined what would likely have been a lucrative cameo appearance in the upcoming sequel.
