For 33 years, he was the heartbeat of the Panthers’ football program — especially during his 25 seasons as head coach — transforming the team into a regional powerhouse. Before coaching, he was a standout athlete himself, earning letters in every sport and playing tight end at Southeastern Louisiana University. His legacy lives on through the renamed fieldhouse and the countless lives he shaped as a mentor and leader. He is survived by his wife, Kathi.
