A single-engine aircraft crashed near Daybreak Airport in La Center on Monday, injuring both occupants. One was airlifted by Life Flight, the other transported by AMR. Former state Rep. Liz Pike identified the pilot as her husband, Neil Cahoon, saying both survived and his injuries are severe.
