You Can Now Play PS5 Games On Steam Deck Without A PS5
Published 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Description
A new app called Asobi: Remote Play is bringing PlayStation streaming to Steam Deck, SteamOS, Linux, and Windows. The independent app can connect directly to your own PS4 or PS5, but it also advertises optional PlayStation Plus Premium cloud-streaming compatibility, potentially letting players access supported PS5 games without owning a PS5 or PlayStation Portal. The Steam listing promises controller support, adaptive streaming, HDR, 1080p/60fps and other premium features. It is currently in playtesting and listed as coming soon. This is another interesting step toward PlayStation games becoming less tied to traditional PlayStation hardware.
