After police shooting, Madison community turns to mutual aid

Madison is still recovering, after the police shooting of Corey Ruiz last month. PJ Chamberlain is a coordinator with Madison Worker Cooperatives, which has launched a fund that aims to support workers affected by the Corey Ruiz protests and encampment. Chamberlain has also been personally impacted by police violence; Fitchburg police shot and killed his friend Kevin Price in 2024.
Chamberlain joined our News Producer Faye Parks to explain how mutual aid can rebuild community in the wake of tragedy, and share his personal experience mourning victims of police violence.
