When Walter Goodman III called 911 from his Oneida, Wisconsin, home, first responders found his 14-year-old daughter weighing just 35 pounds.
As doctors fought to save her life, investigators began uncovering what had been happening inside the home she shared with Walter, Melissa Goodman, Savanna LeFever, and Kayla Stemler.
Then police searched the house ... and Melissa’s phone.
What they found would lead one prosecutor to call it the worst child neglect case she had seen in nearly 25 years.

A family gathered at a wake in west London when an argument broke out between cousins Jahmel Joseph and Jordan Rodney. A relative intervened and sent Jahmel home, seemingly ending the confrontation.
But shortly before midnight, Jahmel came back ... this time on a motorcycle and carrying a shotgun.
Jordan would be dead before the night was over, another family member would be seriously injured, and Jahmel's diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia would eventually become central to the question of why he returned to that wake armed.
