The Ghost Wasn't in the Cast.. Korean Film Set "Jeonseol-ui Gohyang" Horror Stories
Description
South Korean horror movies are famous for terrifying ghosts, abandoned schools and long-haired spirits... but what happens when the ghost on set isn't an actor? In this episode of You Can't Unhear, we explore two eerie Korean film set ghost stories, including a legend connected to KBS's iconic supernatural series Tales of the Legendary Homeland (Jeonseol-ui Gohyang) and the story of a horror crew filming inside an abandoned school when someone, or something, appeared before the ghost actress had even arrived.
From Korean ghost folklore and strange nighttime superstitions to mysterious voices over a walkie-talkie and an unidentified woman supposedly wandering among actors dressed as spirits, these stories blur the boundary between Korean urban legends, K-horror and paranormal encounters. Because on a horror set at three in the morning, seeing a ghost isn't necessarily the frightening part. The frightening part is realizing... nobody hired her.
